How do you measure the cost of charging?

We measure the cost of charging using data collected from your vehicle and information about your electric rate plan from BGE. The data from your vehicle allows us to determine how much electricity was used to charge your EV, as well as when it was charged. Your electric rate plan sets the cost of that electricity (which may vary based on when it was charged). By combining that information, we can calculate the cost of charging your EV.

Unfortunately, we are only able to provide charging cost estimates for BGE program participants in 'R' and Vehicle Charging Time of Use rate plans.
